Steel Windows and Doors
Steel Windows and Doors

Our windows and doors all have one thing in common. With small frame ratios and large glass areas, they fulfil important architectural requirements with respect to visual elegance and transparency.

As the UK’s UPVC, timber, and aluminium markets are well supplied Martec continues to develop as a niche specialist supplier and installer of mild steel and stainless steel windows and doors. We have accumulated a wealth of technical knowledge over the years as materials, systems, standards and regulations have progressed.

Steel versus aluminium the facts:

  • Steel profiles are x3 stronger than any comparable aluminium profile
  • This allows steel profiles to be thinner than the comparable aluminium profile
  • Using steel allows higher transparency and larger spans

The Steel Legacy

When it comes to dealing with a Heritage project or a listed building upgrade, steel comes into its own with its minimal sight lines being exactly the same as the original steel windows in place. However the new advances mean that the thermal break in modern steel windows complies with Building Regulations for heat loss and Acoustic demands.

Products:

Steel thermally broken windows, doors and curtain walling, Screens and Doors Overclad Stainless Steel, Brass, Bronze, Cor-Ten, and a variety of Overclad plating finishes, steel thermally broken large single, double and triple sliding doors, structural glazing, bespoke architectural doors, windows, roof's and walls.
